Ingredients/Components
- half and half - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter - 1 item
- eggs, beaten - 6 item
- shredded Cheddar cheese
- slices bread - 6 item
- pork sausage - 1 lb
How to make breakfast sausage casserole:
Remove crusts and butter bread slices. Place in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish that has been sprayed with Pam. Set aside. Brown sausage, drain and crumble. Spoon over bread. Sprinkle with cheese. Next, beat eggs, half and half and salt. Pour over sausage mixture and chill overnight. Remove from refrigerator 15 minutes before baking. Bake in 350° oven, uncovered, for 45 minutes or until set.Recipe categories: Breakfast, Casseroles, One Dish meal.
