Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- milk
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- cooking oil - 2 c
How to make funnel cake:
In a mixing bowl, combine eggs and milk. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Add to liquids. Test mixture to see if it flows through funnel. If too thick, add milk. If too thin, add flour. In an 8-inch skillet, heat oil to 360°. Lower bottom opening of funnel and with finger release batter in hot oil in a continuous spiral. Fry to golden, about 3 minutes. Using a spatula or tongs, turn the cake carefully. Cook 1 more minute. Drain on paper towel. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Lunch/snacks.
