Fudge brownies
Ingredients/Components
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 4 item
- shortening - 1 c
- all-purpose flour
- box brown sugar - 1 item
- sq - 4 oz
- commercial fudge sauce - 1 item
- can Reddi-Whip whipped topping - 1 oz
How to make fudge brownies:
Combine shortening and chocolate in top of a double boiler; bring water to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cook until chocolate melts. Add sugar, stirring well. Add eggs and vanilla; stir well. Stir in flour and salt and mix thoroughly. Remove chocolate mixture from heat and stir in pecans. Spread batter into a well-greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes. Cool; cut into squares. Serve with fudge sauce and whipped topping. Makes about 3 dozen.Recipe categories: Cookie and brownie, Bar cookie, Brownies.
