- brown sugar - 1 c
- nuts - 1/2 c
- egg beaten - 1 item
- flour, sift
- sugar, sift - 1 c
- Salt, sift - 1 tsp
- baking soda, sift - 1 tsp
- medium can fruit cocktail, drain and save the juice
How to make fruit cocktail cake:
Sift flour, sugar, salt, and baking soda. Then add 1 egg, beaten with juice of the fruit cocktail. Add medium can of Fruit Cocktail.Sprinkle over top 1 c. of brown sugar and 1/2 c. of nuts. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees. When served, top with Whipped Cream or Ice Cream.
