Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- soda - 2 tsp
- chopped nuts optional - 1/2 c
- semi-sweet chocolate pieces - 1/2 c
- soft shortening - 1/4 c
- can fruit cocktail with juice - 1 lb
How to make fruit cocktail cake:
Combine all ingredients, except chocolate chips and nuts, in large mixer bowl. Blend well at lowest speed. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Pour in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. No frosting needed.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Fruit.
