Fruit cocktail cake

Ingredients/Components

• cinnamon - 1 tsp
• eggs - 2 item
• salt - 1 tsp
• flour
• brown sugar - 1 c
• soda - 2 tsp
• chopped nuts optional - 1/2 c
• semi-sweet chocolate pieces - 1/2 c
• soft shortening - 1/4 c
• can fruit cocktail with juice - 1 lb

How to make fruit cocktail cake:

Combine all ingredients, except chocolate chips and nuts, in large mixer bowl. Blend well at lowest speed. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Pour in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. No frosting needed.
