Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- medium can fruit cocktail - 1 item
- coconut - 1/2 c
- Icing:1 stick butter
- evaporated milk - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- nuts - 1/2 c
How to make fruit cocktail cake:
Icing:1 stick butter3/4 c. sugar1/2 c. evaporated milk1 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. nuts1/2 c. coconut Beat sugar, eggs and oil. Add salt, baking soda, flour and fruit cocktail (and juice). Pour into greased sheet pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup coconut on top. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.Icing: Boil butter, sugar and milk for 1 minute. Add vanilla, nuts and coconut. Spread hot icing over hot cake.
