  • salt - 1/2 tsp

  • butter - 1/2 c
  • evaporated milk - 1/4 c
  • coconut
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • baking soda
  • chopped walnuts optional - 1/2 c
  • Add sugar and beat
  • can fruit cocktail not drained - 1 oz

How to make fruit cocktail cake:

Beat eggs. Add sugar and beat. Add remaining ingredients, except coconut. Pour into greased and floured 10 x 15 x 2-inch baking dish. Sprinkle top with coconut. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes.Frosting:3/4 c. sugar1/4 c. evaporated milk1/2 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. butter Combine ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Cool slightly, then drizzle over warm cake.
