Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • vanilla flavoring - 1 tsp
  • evaporated milk - 3/4 c
  • coconut - 1 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • cake flour - 2 c
  • can fruit cocktail - 16 oz

How to make fruit cocktail cake:

Icing:1 c. sugar1 stick margarine3/4 c. evaporated milk1 c. coconut1 c. chopped nuts Mix ingredients by hand and pour into a greased and floured sheet cake pan. Bake in preheated oven at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.

For icing: Boil sugar, margarine and milk for 10 minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat and add coconut and pecans. Let cake cool a few minutes before icing.
