Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- milk - 1 c
- flour
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- boiling water - 2 c
- white sugar - 1 c
- butter or oleo - 3 Tbsp
- fruit blackberries, raspberries, cherries, peaches or apples
How to make fruit cobbler:
Mixture 2:2 c. fruit (blackberries, raspberries, cherries, peaches or apples)2 c. boiling water1 c. sugar Measure fruit and sugar in one mixing bowl; pour boiling water over and let stand while you mix first mixture. Cream sugar and butter, then add flour and baking powder, stirring well, then add milk all at once and mix quickly. Spread batter into baking pan. Pour mixture No. 2 over No. 1 and place immediately into oven. Batter will bake up through fruit and liquid. Serve warm with lots of milk. Bake 1 hour at 350°.
