Japanese fruit cake
Ingredients/Components
- butter or oleo - 1 c
- sugar - 2 c
- flour
- milk
- eggs - 4 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- each: cinnamon and allspice cloves optional - 1 tsp
- raisins, chopped fine - 1/4 lb
- nuts, chopped fine
- Divide batter into 2 parts
- grated rind of 1 lemon
- pkg - 1 coconut,
- sugar if using coconut 1 1/2 c - 2 c
- boiling water - 1 c
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- small jar cherries, chopped fine - 1 item
How to make japanese fruit cake:
Mix first 7 ingredients and make as any other cake. Divide batter into 2 parts. Into 1 part, put 1 teaspoon each of cinnamon and allspice, raisins and nuts. Bake this part and other part in 2 layers each at 350° for 15 to 25 minutes.Filling and IciRecipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Christmas.
