Frosted banana bars
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2/3 c
- low-fat sour cream - 1/2 c
- margarine, softened - 2 Tbsp
- egg whites - 2 item
- mashed ripe bananas - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- finely chopped walnuts - 2 Tbsp
- powdered sugar
- skim milk - 1 2
How to make frosted banana bars:
Frosting:1 1/4 c. powdered sugar1 Tbsp. margarine, softened1 to 2 Tbsp. skim milk1/2 tsp. vanilla Heat oven to 375°. Spray a 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray. Beat sugar, sour cream, margarine and egg whites in large bowl on low 1 minute, scraping bowl occasionally. Beat in bananas and vanilla on low 30 seconds. Beat in flour, salt and baking soda on medium speed 1 minute; stir in nuts. Spread in pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until light brown. Cool. Spread with frosting. Cut into 2 1/4 x 1 1/2-inch bars.To make frosting, mix all ingredients until smooth.
