Ingredients/Components

  • salt
  • flour - 4 c
  • Crisco - 1 c
  • large eggs, well beaten - 3 item
  • Carnation - 1/2 c

How to make fried pie crust:

Mix in order given by hand or mixer. Put on floured board and knead until not sticky. Pinch off in pieces the size of plums. Roll and cut by a saucer. Place cold filling on half of circle and fold over. Press edges together with fork. Drop in hot oil and brown. Makes 15 pies. This recipe will serve 15 people.
