Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1/2 c
- flour - 1 c
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- green or slightly pink tomatoes - 1 item
How to make fried green tomatoes:
Slice green tomatoes. Pour 1/2 cup of milk into shallow bowl. Mix salt and pepper into flour. Dip slice of tomato into milk, then dredge in the flour mixture. Put into hot oil in frying pan and brown on both sides. Serve immediately.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Southern u.s..
