  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • butter - 1 Tbsp
  • cornstarch - 4 Tbsp
  • water - 3/4 c
  • corn syrup - 1 c
  • sliced peaches - 4 c
  • tarts or pie shell - 1 item

How to make fresh peach tarts:

Thoroughly crush 1 cup peaches in saucepan. Add water and cook 5 minutes. Combine corn syrup, cornstarch and salt. Add to cooked juice. Cook until thick and clear (5 minutes). Add butter and cool slightly. Arrange the rest of the peaches in tart shells or pie shell and pour thickened mixture over fruit, coating thoroughly. Chill; serve with whipped cream. (Can add red food coloring to cooked mixture for color.)
