Ingredients/Components
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- chopped fresh parsley - 1 Tbsp
- finely chopped green onion - 1 Tbsp
- olive oil or vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- chopped fresh herb tarragon, rosemary, basil, oregano, thyme or marjoram - 1 Tbsp
How to make fresh herb vinaigrette:
Shake all ingredients in tightly covered container. About 1 cup dressing; 60 calories per tablespoon.Nutty Herb Vinaigrette: Substitute walnut, hazelnut or almond oil for the olive oil. Sixty calories per tablespoon.
Low-Calorie Vinaigrette: Substitute apple juice for the olive oil and reduce vinegar to 1/3 cup. Five calories per tablespoon.
