  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 2 c
  • salt
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • soda
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • plain flour - 3 c
  • Wesson oil
  • apples, chopped - 3 c

How to make fresh apple cake:

Mix apples and sugar. Let stand 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add oil and eggs. Combine spices, soda, salt and flour and add to apple mixture. Add pecans and vanilla. Cook 1 hour at 350° and 15 minutes at 325°.
