- buttermilk - 1 item
- cooking oil - 1 item
- Vidalia onion large - 1 item
How to make french fried onion rings:
Slice onion and separate into rings. Cover with buttermilk and allow to stand for 1 hour. Put flour in a plastic or paper bag. Add onion rings. Inflate bag and shake until rings are coated with flour. Fry in hot oil. Drain on paper towels.Recipe categories: Side dish, Vegetables, Onions.
