Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1/4 c
- vinegar
- shredded carrot - 1/2 c
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- celery seed - 1/2 tsp
- green pepper - 1/2 item
- mustard seed - 1/2 tsp
- medium head cabbage - 1 item
How to make freezer coleslaw:
Dressing:1 c. vinegar1 c. sugar1/4 c. water1 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. celery seed1/2 tsp. mustard seed In large bowl, combine first 5 ingredients. Let stand 1 hour. Drain. Bring all dressing ingredients to boil. Simmer 2 or 3 minutes. Cool; pour over cabbage. Pack in freezer containers. Freeze. Yields about 4 pints.Recipe categories: Salads, Vegetables, Picnic.
