Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 4 c
  • cold water - 1/2 c
  • vinegar - 1 Tbsp
  • shortening
  • large egg - 1 item

How to make foolproof pie crust:

Mix together flour, salt, shortening and sugar until crumbly. Beat together with fork egg, cold water and vinegar. Combine both mixtures. Divide into 5 portions. Shape into patties and wrap in wax paper and chill 1/2 hour before using. Can be frozen for later. Will keep for long time in freezer.
