Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 4 c
- cold water - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- shortening
- large egg - 1 item
How to make foolproof pie crust:
Mix together flour, salt, shortening and sugar until crumbly. Beat together with fork egg, cold water and vinegar. Combine both mixtures. Divide into 5 portions. Shape into patties and wrap in wax paper and chill 1/2 hour before using. Can be frozen for later. Will keep for long time in freezer.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
