  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • cold water - 2/3 c
  • plus 1 Tbsp - 1 c

How to make flaky squares:

Mix Crisco, salt and 1/2 of water. Add flour and rest of water, a little at a time. Roll out thin layer of dough and spread with filling of your choice as much as you like. Put another crust on top. Prick with a fork all over and bake at 400° for about 25 minutes or until done, like for a pie.
