Filled cookies

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1/2 c
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• salt - 1 tsp
• flour - 3 c
• brown sugar - 2 c
• water - 1/4 c
• eggs, beaten - 3 item
• lard - 1 c
• dates, cut up
• raisins and nuts optional - 1 item
• soda in 1 Tbsp - 1 tsp

How to make filled cookies:

Filling:1 lb. dates, cut up1/2 c. sugar1/4 c. water raisins and nuts (optional) Mix all dough ingredients and set aside.

Filling has to be cooked until thick and then cooled.

Drop dough mixture on cookie sheet with a spoon; add a little filling and spoon or drop a little more dough on top. Bake at 350° until done or golden brown.
