Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla - 3 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- milk, scalded - 5 c
- nutmeg optional - 1 item
- 9-inch pie shells, chilled - 2 item
How to make egg custard pie:
Beat eggs slightly. Add sugar, salt and vanilla. Add milk while stirring constantly. Sprinkle nutmeg over pie after filling crusts. Bake at 400° for 30 minutes. Do not overbake.
