  • water - 1 c
  • nuts - 1/2 c
  • box cake mix - 1 item
  • cans pie filling - 2 item
  • butter or oleo cold - 1/4 lb

How to make dump cake:

Put pie filling in a 9 x 13-inch greased pan. Sprinkle box of dry cake mix over filling. Place thin slices of oleo over cake mix and pour cup of water around edges. Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Use any pie filling combination.

Alternate: 1 can pie filling, 1 can crushed pineapple (undrained), 1 box cake mix, 1/2 pound butter and 1/2 cup nuts.
