How to make death by chocolate:

Bake brownies according to package directions; cool. Punch holes in brownies with a fork and pour Kahlua or creme de cacao over brownies; set aside.

Whip up chocolate mousse or pudding mix according to package directions. Break candy bars into small pieces in food processor or by tapping them with a hammer (right in the wrapper). Break up half of the brownies and place in the bottom of a glass trifle dish. Cover with half of the pudding, layer with half of the candy and then add half of the Cool Whip. Repeat layers with all the remaining ingredients, except Cool Whip. Add final amount of Cool Whip just before serving.

NOTE: Instead of alcohol, you may substitute a mixture of 1 tsp. sugar and 4 Tbsp. leftover black coffee.
