Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- nuts - 1 c
- dash of salt - 1 item
- sweet milk - 1 c
- dates - 1 pkg
- crystallized cherries - 1 c
- butter, size of an egg - 1 item
How to make date roll candy:
Mix sugar, salt, milk and butter. Boil 5 minutes; add dates. Cook until creamy. Test firm ball in cold water. Beat and add cherries and nuts. Pour on wax paper or roll in damp cloth. Cut when cool. Note: I use a damp dishtowel. Start in the miRecipe categories: Desserts, Low protein, Candy.
