Ingredients/Components

  • box yellow cake mix - 1 item
  • stick butter, softened - 1 item
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • light corn syrup - 2/3 c
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • salted peanuts - 2 c
  • Rice Krispies - 2 c
  • miniature marshmallows - 2 c

How to make pay day bars:

Heat first four ingredients in a saucepan. When melted, stir in peanuts and Rice Krispies. When cake is removed from oven, cover with marshmallows, then cover with the saucepan mixture. Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate, covered. Cut cold.
