Date nut chewies

Ingredients/Components

• chopped dates
• can sweetened condensed milk - 1 oz
• pecans, toasted and chopped - 2 c
• sweet, flaked coconut - 2 c

How to make date nut chewies:

To toast pecans, bake on a cookie sheet at 350° for about 7 minutes.

Heat oven to 350°. Lightly grease 2 cookie sheets. If you only have one cookie sheet, place 2 sheet size pieces of foil on countertop. Drop cookies as directed on foil. When baked cookies have been removed from cookie sheet, cool sheet and slide second foil onto sheet. Bake as directed.

Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 1 inch apart on a prepared cookie sheet. Bake one sheet at a time for 12 minutes or until cookies are slightly browned around the edges. Scrape off with spatula and cool. Makes about 36 cookies. These are very easy to make.
