Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 4 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- water - 1/2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- white sugar - 1/2 c
- lukewarm water
- shortening, butter or margarine - 1 c
- Roll out, cut with round cookie cutter
How to make date filled cookies:
Mix dough ingredients and set aside for a few minutes. Roll out, cut with round cookie cutter. Place 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon of the date filling on it. Cut a tiny slit on top of the top cookie and place it over the filling. Press the edges of the two cookies together with your fingers.
