Ingredients/Components

  • brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • small jar maraschino cherries - 1 item
  • curry powder
  • grated lemon peel - 1 tsp
  • stick margarine, melted - 1/2 item
  • large can pineapple chunks - 1 item
  • large can peach slices - 1 item
  • large can pear halves, sliced into 4 slices - 1 item
  • can plums - 1 item

How to make curried fruit:

Note: Any combination of fruit can be used.

Drain fruit in 13 x 9 x 2-inch glass casserole dish, putting cherries in last. Combine sugar, curry and lemon peel. Mix with melted margarine and sprinkle over fruit. Bake 20 to 30 minutes at 350° until bubbly. Great for breakfast; serves 6 to 8.
