Curried fruit
Ingredients/Components
- butter or margarine - 1/3 c
- brown sugar, packed - 1/4 c
- curry powder - 4 tsp
- jar maraschino cherries - 1 item
- large can pear halves - 1 item
- large can peach or apricot halves or both - 1 item
- 2 can pineapple chunks
How to make curried fruit:
Melt butter; add sugar and curry. Drain and dry fruits and place in large 1 1/2-quart casserole. Add butter mixture. Bake 1 hour, uncovered.Flavor is even better if dish stands, covered, in refrigerator and is then reheated. It may be reheated several times.
