Creole pralines
Ingredients/Components
- granulated sugar - 2 c
- milk - 1 c
- pecan halves - 4 c
- Karo syrup - 2 Tbsp
- dark or brown sugar - 1 c
How to make creole pralines:
Put all ingredients, except the pecans, in a 3-quart saucepan and cook for about 20 minutes at medium temperature. After boiling, stir occasionally. Add the pecans and cook the mixture until the liquid forms a soft ball when a little is dropped into cold water. Stir well and then drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper.Note: Place a few sheets of newspaper beneath the waxed paper.
