Creamed peas and new potatoes
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- all-purpose flour - 1 Tbsp
- sliced green onion - 1/4 c
- frozen peas - 1 pkg
- dash of white pepper - 1 item
- tiny new potatoes
How to make creamed peas and new potatoes:
Scrub potatoes; remove a narrow strip of peel around the center of each. Cook potatoes until tender; drain. Meanwhile, cook peas and drain. Cook onions in butter until tender. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Add milk. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Cook about 2 minutes longer. Stir in vegetables.Recipe categories: Side dish, Potato, Green/yellow beans.
