- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- water - 3/4 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- 5 oz
- solid vegetable shortening - 2/3 c
- apple pie spice and cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
How to make crazy crust apple pie:
Filling:1 (1 lb. 5 oz.) can apple pie filling1 Tbsp. lemon juice1/2 tsp. apple pie spice and cinnamon In small mixer bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, water, shortening and egg. Blend well at lowest speed; beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Spread batter in 10-inch or 9-inch deep dish pie pan. Carefully spoon filling into center of batter. Do not stir. Bake at 425° for 40 to 45 minutes until crust is golden brown.Filling: Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl.
