Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- water - 1 c
- cold water - 1/4 c
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- chopped celery - 1 c
- fresh cranberries, washed - 1 pkg
- Knox gelatine unflavored - 2 Tbsp
How to make cranberry salad:
In saucepan, combine sugar and water. Place over medium heat and simmer for about 5 minutes. Add cranberries and cook slowly, without stirring, until all the skins pop open (about 5 minutes). Soften gelatine in 1/4 cup cold water; dissolve in hot cranberry mixture. Add lemon juice and let cool. Let congeal in refrigerator. When cooled, add celery and nuts.
