Cranberry-pear crisp
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1/2 c
- brown sugar - 2/3 c
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- rolled oats - 3/4 c
- butter or oleo - 1/2 c
- cranberries - 12 oz
- firm, ripe pears or apples - 4 item
How to make cranberry-pear crisp:
Peel, core and thinly slice pears or apples. (You may use two of each if available.) Wash and pick over cranberries. Toss pears and berries in a bowl with sugar and cinnamon. Spread on bottom of 10-inch pie dish or other flat baking dish. Combine flour, brown sugar, rolled oats and salt. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Spread evenly over cranberry mixture. Bake in preheated 375° oven for 45 minutes. Cool 1 hour. Serve plain or with ice cream or whipped cream.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cobblers and crisps, Pears.
