Cranberry crumble
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- flour - 1/4 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- cranberries - 2 c
- orange rind, grated optional - 1 Tbsp
- pitted prunes, snipped - 2/3 c
- corn flakes, crushed medium fine - 2 c
- or more walnuts, chopped - 1/4 c
- whipped cream or Cool Whip for topping - 1 item
How to make cranberry crumble:
Put 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in saucepan and bring to boil. Add cranberries and cook until berries burst. Add orange rind and prunes and pour into shallow 1 1/2-quart baking dish.Put remaining sugar and flour in bowl and cut in butter. Add corn flakes and nuts and mix. Sprinkle on top of fruit mixture and bake in 350° oven about 45 minutes. Serve warm or cold with topping. Yields 6 servings.
