Ingredients/Components
- can whole kernel corn, drained - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- garlic - 1 item
- chili powder to taste - 1 item
- large can tomatoes - 1 item
- can chili with beans - 1 item
- potatoes, diced, cooked and drained - 3 c
How to make cowboy stew:
Brown and drain fat. Add onion, lightly brown. Add tomatoes, breaking up, and chili, corn and potatoes. Season with salt, pepper and chili powder. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Easily doubled.Recipe categories: Main dish, Southwestern u.s., Stew.
