Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- milk - 2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- oil - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 4 tsp
- warm water - 1/2 c
- dry yeast - 1 pkg
How to make cowboy biscuits:
Mix dry ingredients. Dissolve yeast in water. Add milk and oil. Add to dry ingredients, mix well. Work into a ball and let rise. Roll out. Cut into biscuits and bake at 400°. Can be refrigerated for several days.Note: Buttermilk may be used instead of sweet milk; if so, add 1 teaspoon soda.
