  • sugar - 1 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • shortening
  • shredded coconut - 2 c
  • sifted flour
  • cornflakes - 2 c

How to make cornflake cookies:

Sift flour and measure. Add soda, salt and baking powder. Sift again. Cream shortening and add sugar gradually. Beat again until light. Add eggs and vanilla.

Combine dry ingredients and add to cream mixture. Last add cornflakes and coconut. Drop by spoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 325° for 10 minutes.
