Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- yellow cornmeal - 1 c
- oil or bacon drippings - 1/4 c
How to make cornbread muffins:
Combine dry ingredients. Beat egg and milk; add to dry ingredients. Blend oil or bacon drippings into this and pour into greased muffin pans. Fill the muffin cups half full. Bake in a 400° oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until edges and tops are brown.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Muffins.
