Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • vinegar - 3/4 c
  • salad oil - 1/2 c
  • dry mustard - 1 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • can tomato soup - 1 item
  • cooked sliced carrots - 2 lb
  • green pepper, sliced into strips - 1 item
  • onion, sliced into strips - 1 item

How to make copper pennies:

Mix carrots, pepper and onion. Combine other ingredients and add to vegetables. Marinate at least 24 hours. Serve cold from refrigerator. These will last from 1 to 2 weeks or longer.
