Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar
- baking powder
- chocolate morsels
- melted shortening - 2/3 c
How to make congo squares:
Mix and sift baking powder, flour and salt. Measure melted shortening. Add sugar; stir until well mixed. Let cool. Add eggs, one at a time, stirring well. Add dry ingredients. Add nuts and chocolate morsels. Spread in greased 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Cookie and brownie, Bar cookie, Brownies.
