Ingredients/Components
- boiling water - 2 c
- mayonnaise - 1 c
- lemon Jell-O
- lime Jell-O
- small carton cottage cheese - 1 item
- large can crushed pineapple - 1 item
- condensed milk - 1 c
- chopped celery or nuts - 1 c
How to make congealed salad:
Put Jell-O in flat dish (8 x 11-inch). Add 2 cups boiling water to Jell-O and stir until dissolved. Drain pineapple and add juice to Jell-O. Mix pineapple, cottage cheese, mayonnaise, condensed milk and nuts or celery together. Add to Jell-O. Refrigerate until set. Serves 12.Recipe categories: Salads, Side dish, Heirloom/historical.
