  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 5 item
  • vanilla - 1 Tbsp
  • butter - 1/2 lb
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • plain flour - 3 c
  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • lemon flavoring - 2 3
  • sweet milk - 1 c

How to make cold oven pound cake:

Cream sugar, butter and Crisco. Add eggs, one at a time. Combine flour and baking powder; add to butter mixture alternately with milk. Add flavoring. Pour into greased and floured pan. Set in cold oven. Set temperature at 325° and bake for 1 1/2 hours.
