- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- butter - 1/2 lb
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- plain flour - 3 c
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- lemon flavoring - 2 3
- sweet milk - 1 c
How to make cold oven pound cake:
Cream sugar, butter and Crisco. Add eggs, one at a time. Combine flour and baking powder; add to butter mixture alternately with milk. Add flavoring. Pour into greased and floured pan. Set in cold oven. Set temperature at 325° and bake for 1 1/2 hours.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Low sodium.
