  • flour - 3 c
  • shortening - 1 c
  • lemon juice - 2 tsp
  • 1/2 sticks margarine - 1 item
  • eggs, at room temperature - 6 item

How to make cold oven pound cake:

Cream together sugar, margarine and shortening. Beat in 6 eggs. Add flour, milk, vanilla and lemon juice; beat thoroughly. Pour into well-greased and floured tube pan. Start in cold oven and bake 1 3/4 hours at 350° until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
