  • cinnamon - 1 item
  • milk - 1 c
  • butter or margarine
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • powdered sugar - 1 item
  • Crisco

How to make coffee cake:

Topping:1 to 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine powdered sugar cinnamon Batter: Preheat oven to 350°. Mix together flour and baking powder. Set aside. Beat until creamy the sugar, Crisco, salt, egg and a few drops of milk. Gradually add the rest of the milk and flour mixture until completely mixed.

Topping: Melt butter or margarine. Pour over top of batter evenly and sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
