Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- milk - 1 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- vanilla flavoring - 4 tsp
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- Crisco - 3/4 c
- lemon flavoring - 1 tsp
- almond flavoring - 1/2 tsp
- coconut flavoring - 2 tsp
- plain or cake flour - 3 c
- Icing:1 box confectioners sugar
- milk more or less to make spreading consistency - 5 Tbsp
How to make coconut pound cake:
Icing:1 box confectioners sugar1 stick margarine1 Tbsp. coconut flavoring5 Tbsp. milk (more or less to make spreading consistency) Cream Crisco, margarine and sugar. Add eggs one at a time and beat well. Mix flavorings in milk and add this to Crisco mixture. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 300°. Ice cake while still warm.Icing: Combine all ingredients and beat well. Put on warm cake.
