Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- milk - 1 c
- flour - 3 c
- large eggs - 5 item
- Crisco - 3/4 c
- margarine - 1/2 lb
- coconut flavoring
- or 16 oz - 14 oz
How to make coconut pound cake:
Cream Crisco, margarine and sugar. Add flour; mix well. Add eggs, one at a time; add milk, coconut flavoring and coconut. Mix well. Pour into floured and greased tube pan. Bake in 300° oven for 2 1/2 hours. Yes, 2 1/2 hours.Remove from pan after 5 minutes. No frosting is used. Good with strawberries.
