Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 5 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • baking powder
  • vegetable oil - 1 c
  • can coconut - 1 oz
  • stick oleo or butter - 1/2 item
  • butter extract - 1 tsp
  • Mix in the oil

How to make coconut pound cake:

Beat eggs, gradually adding the sugar. Mix in the oil. Measure flour, salt and baking powder; mix. Add the dry ingredients alternately with the milk. Add remaining ingredients. Bake in greased and floured Bundt or tube pan at 350° for 1 hour. Place on rack to cool.Sauce:1 c. sugar1/2 stick oleo or butter1 tsp. butter extract Combine. Bring to a boil and boil 2 minutes.

Punch holes in cake and pour sauce over hot cake. Let cool before removing from pan.
