Coconut pound cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder
- vegetable oil - 1 c
- can coconut - 1 oz
- stick oleo or butter - 1/2 item
- butter extract - 1 tsp
- Mix in the oil
How to make coconut pound cake:
Beat eggs, gradually adding the sugar. Mix in the oil. Measure flour, salt and baking powder; mix. Add the dry ingredients alternately with the milk. Add remaining ingredients. Bake in greased and floured Bundt or tube pan at 350° for 1 hour. Place on rack to cool.Sauce:1 c. sugar1/2 stick oleo or butter1 tsp. butter extract Combine. Bring to a boil and boil 2 minutes.Punch holes in cake and pour sauce over hot cake. Let cool before removing from pan.
