Cocoa bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- lard - 1/4 c
- cake yeast - 1 item
- well-beaten eggs - 2 item
- milk, scalded and cooled - 2 c
How to make cocoa bread:
Dissolve yeast in cooled milk. Add 1 teaspoon sugar and 2 cups flour. Beat well. Let rise.Mix 1/2 cup sugar and cocoa. Add lard, salt, eggs and 2 1/2 cups flour. Add to sponge mixture; knead until smooth. Let rise. Put into pans, let rise. Bake in 350° oven approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
